The Tatuaje Escasos is a limited-release, mild cigar crafted at the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua. It features a Nicaraguan binder and filler, all wrapped in a natural Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Its flavor profile offers notes of pepper, nuts, toast, and wood. Each size in the Escasos line is named after a letter from the word “Hunter,” a tribute to Tatuaje owner Pete Johnson’s dog.
In 2018, Tatuaje introduced the Escasos line, meaning “rare” in Spanish, to signify its limited production. Johnson expanded the line with the six original sizes from the Selección de Cazador, also known as the Brown Label. Each vitola in this line is named after a letter in the word “Hunter,” further honoring his dog. The six sizes are: Havana Cazadores, Unicos, Noellas, Tainos, Especiales, and Regios. The name “Selección de Cazador” translates to “Hunter’s Selection,” further reflecting the tribute to his dog!
