Description
ADN, short for Andullo Dominicano Nacional, is a cigar that connects the modern aficionado to the deepest roots of Dominican tobacco culture. The centerpiece of this blend is Andullo, one of the oldest and most potent forms of tobacco preparation in the world, dating back to the island’s indigenous Taíno and Arawak peoples. Revered since the colonial era, Andullo was prized for its strength, richness, and longevity. These qualities made it ideal for transatlantic voyages and now, a rare treasure in today’s premium cigar world.
The Andullo process is artisanal and time intensive. Harvested from the top primings of the plant (the 5th, 6th, and 7th cuts), the leaves are then air-cured, de-stemmed, and packed into yaguas, the soft inner husks of the royal palm. Bound tightly with rope and compressed for three weeks at a time, this process is repeated 8 to 10 times, allowing oxygenation and fermentation to occur slowly and naturally. The result: a dense, cylindrical plug of tobacco rich in body and complexity.
ADN Dominicano is one of the few cigars in the world to feature this extraordinary tobacco. Its unique fermentation gives the blend an earthy, robust backbone, delivering bold flavor with remarkable smoothness.
A rare experience for those who seek authenticity, depth, and a connection to the tobacco’s ancestral past.
