The CAO Amazon Basin is finally back with another installment!
The Amazon Basin 2025 is inspired by the rich and diverse tobacco-growing regions of the Amazon Rainforest. The 2025 release marks an update to the original Amazon Basin, featuring new improvements or adjustments in the blend to enhance its complexity. The cigar is typically made using rare Brazilian leaves, such as the Braganca tobacco, which is a key component of the blend and offers a distinctive flavor profile.
The Braganca tobacco is so rare that it is harvested just once every three years and produces less than half the yield of other tobacco plants. Once it is harvested it will ferment for 6 months before being carried out of the rainforest by canoe.
In terms of flavor, expect a balance of earthy, spicy, and woody notes with hints of sweetness. The Amazon Basin cigars are known for their medium-to-full body, with a robust taste and smooth finish. The wrapper is often dark and oily, contributing to the cigar’s rich and complex smoke.
